I had a car with spotties on those cheap number plate brackets, and I found they shook too much on anything but the smoothest new road...I think they really need to be mounted to a solid place like the steel crossmember. The black grill is only held in by clips.

I have seen people put a light bar inside the top grill....a solid mount to the steel crossmember or maybe the hard plastic...not sure how the light looks with the grill and Ford badge across it? Or if there are cooling issues?
