Speaking from a long term ownership experience here I refute your claims.
My current Ranger Wildtrak is the best car I have ever owned. While its probably one of the slowest it does everything I want to do with ease, its quiet, well built, efficient, can go off road, sits on the road like a dream and makes me very happy.
