Default Re: Covid 19 -

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT week ending July 28th 2023.

6,116 new cases for Australia and 168 deaths so the CMR is 0.190% (UP)
NZ reported 3,749 cases and 23 deaths for a CMR of 0.189% (-)
72,874 new cases in the USA this week and 641 deaths for a CMR of 1.088% (-)
Global cases pass 692M.

Global case numbers are up to 315,745 this week compared to the 244,037 last week and the number of deaths decreased from an unamended 736 last week to 623 this week. It should be noted that the amended case numbers for last week are up to 312,041 and the amended deaths up to 957 due to the extended reporting periods.

Australia / New Zealand
NSW Predictive Trend

VIC Predictive Trend

Other Predictive Trend

NSW had 1,793 more cases than Victoria last week;
Victoria recorded 633 more cases than the previous week;
NSW recorded 313 less;
Queensland had 168 less;
WA recorded 54 less;
SA recorded 153 less; and
New Zealand recorded 560 less.

The week totalled 6,116 cases, a 2.2% decrease on last week but we are clearly under-reporting cases because the CMR the last few weeks has been well above the long-term and above 1%.
