Does anybody know which pins on an AU2 instrument cluster is for the oil sensor and the data transmit for the trip computer?

I can't make out any of the text, but there's a wiring diagram here: http://fordforums.com.au/wsm/wire/au...html#page00006
Looks like the oil pressure switch is in section G-1, bottom middle. |

Thank you very much for your suggestion, however this schematic is for a low series and I think that the low series varies greatly from the high series.

High series is the next one down. G-2.
Looks like it's in the same place, same pin. |

Yes, you are quite correct, but these schematics are for AU1 clusters.

AU and AUII cluster schematics are the same.

That cant be correct because the AU2 cluster I have doesnt show oil pressure or trip computer data, yet my AU1 cluster works perfectly in my Fairmont.

The oil 'gauge' in a series 1 is an actual gauge, the oil 'gauge' in a series 2 is not a gauge in a real sense. The gauge in a series 2 will only indicate if there is oil pressure or not. What makes them different is the sender. |

Just so I understand what you are saying here. The oil pressure gauge on a series 2 is not an analogue device, but an idiot light.(I wonder why they installed a gauge?) This still doesnt explain why I am not getting trip computer data to my climate control unit

What sort of cluster are you installing? A Fairmont or XR one? |

As per the wiring diagrams, the only input for oil pressure comes in the form of a switch (off/on), there's no analogue input, so there's no analogue display. No matter how analogue-ey it looks.
EDIT: From the WSM: http://fordforums.com.au/wsmpub/augx/Part%2015-3.html "Oil Pressure Gauge: The gauge position is damped by cluster microprocessor software... Low Oil Pressure Warning Lamp: For high series models, the sender is a switch..." The high/low signal comes from the switch, the cluster converts it into an arbitrary position on a gauge. So the solution here is to swap out the oil pressure sensor for an idiot(on/off) light type sensor ? |

Couldn't tell you what the solution is, sorry.
