Wink Stuck in the mud

I see the police have found a new way to disable their new CV8,s park them on the side of the road and let them sink into the mud. All of their computer wizard which helps them with road conditions couldnt help including their powerful v8 enginges, maybe they should tractor power. :newangel:

A few years back i was waved down by a copper & asked me for a lift cos his sqauddy had just died. LOL. I replied "sorry mate, i don't pick up hitchhikers" and drove off.. he only had a few k's to walk. Thats a good way to leave them disabled. The perplexed look on his face.....PRICELESS!! :

They ran an article in the paper about it after it happened, bad part was the printed the guy that took the photo's name, whole name at that. So the cops will be watching him like a hawk for sure.

what's 'wrong' about pulling over to the sise of the road? Yes they got bogged but big deal.
I am still wondering why this made our forum let alone a newspaper

The monaros are very high profile here. They are yet another publicity stunt by our lords and masters.

Tacticly they are a joke. From memory you were in the job. How do you transport a positive or breech in a car with only 2 doors? If the job is out in woop woop it then takes 2 vehicles, 4 coppers and a heap of time (read money). Of course the good side of this from the grubs point of view is that if it takes too long to get to the station they might drop enough to walk.

But they do look pretty and the PR machine babbles on about "high profile" and "public safety" and well you have heard it all before....

Three guesses what is happening in QLD in about November.

I am not disputing that they are a PR stunt but I am still at a loss as to why a bogged police car is of any real note that's all.

So .. no one here has ever got themselves bogged before? Must all be SmartCar-driving, latte-drinking, city-slickers? Give the cops a break. If I saw them stranded on the side of the road I'd stop to help .. just like if I probably stop if it was anyone of you guys/girls.

I don’t think there’s anything sinister here, it’s just a little bit of light hearted humour. I’m sure that 99% of AFF members would assist a stranded police vehicle along with any other vehicle for that matter. For example, I think you would get a far more hostile response if we saw a Porsche Cayenne bogged, and yes I’ve also come to the aid of a stranded police vehicle. It would be a far different story if the same Monaro was wrapped around a tree trying to catch some scumbag.

I think a few people need to lighten up a little, after all if you can’t laugh at yourself, everyone else will.

Cheers, Danny

Why? Personally I don't give a rats who drives what or what it costs, I do care how they behave on the road - regardless of what they drive.

What you or anyone else spends on your own car, as private property, is absolutely no business of mine and I'd stop to assist be it a Lambo or 1993 Barina bearing two obese women regardless.

If its an AWD and bogged, I'd still help, stuff happens!
.

Yup! And so it goes...

i totally agree full noise

i honestly dont find it funny cause its the police

but im def laughing at the holden/bogged part of this story though
i reckon i would come to the assistance of someone broken down as i'd expect the same treatment in return i guess.

i did last night actually i towed a ford home with my 4wd
i've turned it into a ambulance for ambo's
so i do my fair share of helping out,i know how it feels to feel stranded..
pics are hella funny though :
