Question TGA Ep 4 - What did you think?

What did you think of Top Gear Australia Episode 4? Personally I thought it was the worst yet.

What I didn't like:
Getting a little tired of the 'warming up the tyres' gag, it was overdone in the 2nd episode already.
GPS vs Bloke on horse was pretty boring. Again more donuts.

What I liked:
Lawn bowling with Astra's was "ok".
Jack Thompson - he's a top bloke.

Things still not flowing smoothly between presenters. I think there's hope but they better get things moving.

Come on !

All the voters need to comment. No point clicking without commenting !!

I think the show is getting a lot better.

In fact I think the show (last episope) was really good.

Lets stop knocking and start supporting an Aussie show. Hey ?

Was not a fan of the "Astra Bowls".
What is the budget for destroying so many cars?

I'd say out of all of the astras none had mor damage then a few popped bumper clips and an odd scratch.

Agreed. Though for some its hard to let go from the original that started it all, possibly like the I6 in many cases. (opens can of worms )

Was a step down from eps 2 & 3 for me. Still warming to Steve and Warren, but Cox ...

The bush segment was pretty poor, 427 review was lacking and did anyone notice him take out the road marker into the passenger door. Astra bowls was the best part of the episode. It was watchable but IMHO a step back from 2 & 3.

I enjoyed it and found it entertaining. The W427 looks great in red but just like the reviewer, the red interior IMO is ick.

Why does everything have to go offroad? Like - what was the point of throwing the W427 along a gravel road? How many owners are going to do this?

Agree - I think it was so he could drift, and then of course there was the skid pan 'donuts'..... again.... :

geez you guys sure are mature for a bunch of car lovers
i was frothing over the dirt track shenanigans, he even said himself, people who bought that car would never take it on a track, so i was glad i got to see it go on one, it handled it beautifully.
Was i the only one very surprised they let the top gear team into lang lang?

Probably the same reason Clarkson has a fondness for driving exotic sports cars in sea water at the beach. Eye candy for the cameraman.

i dont get why they so recklessly damaged those brand new astra's. How about doing a proper road test and them playing lawn bowls with some old bangers. True car enthusiasts don’t deliberately damage cars.

In the UK version, they've heavily damaged both brand new Toyota Aygo and Suzuki Swifts in various games of soccer and ice hockey. When I watch Top Gear, I like to see road tests of Supercars, not Astras

So people complain about this yet on the Brit one it was hilarious when they did it.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Does it hurt? I mean I dont think we should have one for the rest of time. But since it's Australian, and it's a new series.

Everyone talks about it (around the water cooler at work), so why not here?

Up to you mods I guess...

Bits of it were good then I lost interest in other parts (jack thompson put me to sleep).

Their outback challenge, whilst OK, could have been so much more interesting, they didn't even review the TRD Hilux in any way, just drove around in it.

Oh and I REALLY wish that guy would stop drawing freaking cartoons - so annoying.

PS - they must have a decent budget given the number of brand new Astras they banged up not to mention the W427 that they sideswiped a pole with.

PPS - I was seriously laughing when the W427 aerial was banging on the roof at 250. Did Holden ever test this? Obviously their engineering on a $150K car is equivalent to BMW (end sarcasm).

Keep the new threads coming - one thread will just be a blurrrr.

That W427 is a beast, I love it. Very surprised it beat the M3 around the track by a second, that's impressive in anyones book.

Can't wait to see an F6 give it a shot.

They've already driven the F6 and they didn't take it for a lap so I doubt they'll bring it back again.

Oh please god no, its just a waste of space having 1 new thread each week.

One thread would be better and leave everything in that.

Its just plain damn pointless crap having a new thread each week, as they all say the same thing

What did you think of this Ep....

*yawn*

Problem is... when they talk in the studio, they are quite LOUD! They need to just talk at a normal volume, and get some better jokes. ie. The news. Half is info and the other half is jokes (and crappy ones). They need a quick witty one liner and get on with it.
