Default not a ford related topic

this isn't a ford related topic so i don't know whether any one is able to hep me,

my mate just bought a 1984 r30 skyline with a turbo 2.4 or 2.6 "not sure" it has a 5 speed manual box in it which is stuffed, i was wandering if anyone knew what sort of box is in these cars
any help apreciated

believe it or not the gearbox from nearly any nssan will fit however , the internals are all different
so grab a rb 26 box .. and be done with it . the 4 cyl gboxes will fit but wont last .. im running a 6 cyl rb 20 box behind my 4 cyl fj20 and it wont stand up to it

If it's a 2.4 than it could be a rare FJ24. But it's most likely an FJ20 (2.0L).
AFAIK, R30 did not come with a 2.6L Four or Six...I could be wrong though.

Gearbox is nothing special, just a Nissan built 5spd box.
Grab a 5spd from an RB25 powered R33 Skyline. This will be strong enough to
handle any future performance upgrades your friend may have in mind.
A decent clutch will help too.

yep ure dead right i misread it and thougfht it said 94 .. not 84

even a rb 20 box will do .. stay away from ca18 or sr 20 boxes ,they will bolt up but will give u dramas
