Nice work ... looks so much better than the factory standard dull metal.

Looks so much better - you have to wonder why Ford didn't do this (cost, I guess).

Looks great!

How did ya remove the blue from the top of the INTECH insignia and the "fins"?

Cheers,
Rob

Its amazing how much better it looks when you do this hey. I had mine done in 2 pack a month or two ago and it transforms the look under the bonnet.

You just sand it off with some fine sandpaper

yeah its a ba badge on the ef belt cover. With the sanded back metal, if you use like ultra fine sandpaper then buff it with a car buffer it comes up very polished, looks great

They're fine to re-use as long as you sorta don't remove them from the rocker cover itself because they can stretch. I re-used mine. Standard AU did you reuse yours?

yeah i did, i got to the point where i'd taken it (the rocker cover) off and then read the gregory's manual and it says to get a new one, i'm like... it's sunday, i'll just re-use the old one.

yeah i just left it attached to the cover, no hassles at all.

i actually made it harder and more time consuming for myself, i masked the lines but sanded the 4.0 Intech... silly i know but they both come up good.

GlennAUII, i figure you've probably been asked this a million times, but any chance you could find me one of those belt covers???

Maybe ford still sell them? I swapped a mate my AU p/s runoff thing for his EF belt cover. If ford don't have one definately the wreckers would, ask for an EF/EL one. Just make sure you don't get a VCT one from ford, they look bad because of the cutout on the front.

On the subject of re-using gaskets. I took mine out to have mine powdercoated and re-used it. It does stretch a fair bit, but if you're careful and put it all back in properly and use a bit of gasket goo it works fine. Mine hasn't leaked a drop in months. Saves 50 odd dollars.
