Default My car is possesed

Ok ill try and explain the problem im having as best i can.

When driving the car with coolant in if the car is between 70-85deg and i take it to 6400rpm the car is fine and also driving it normal is also fine, get the car up to 92deg and take it to 6400rpm and the thing ****es out coolant from the overflow while she is reving hard, temp stays on 92deg. it will loose 500mls in a 6400 in 1st and then 6400 in 2nd and 6000 in 3rd. And as you can guess once she cools off the coolant is low.

Now this is the TWIST it doesn't i repeat DOESN'T do this with just plain water in the system and has me stumped.

-I have a new radiator which seemed to have a weap and now stopped but may still be an issue
-Pump is 10000kms old
-has a 160 thermostat
-have tried 2 ford caps and 2 aftermarket caps and same issue.

I also pressure tested the cooling system at work and i took it a few psi more and its all fine.

Looking for some Help here please.

Its seeming to be a RPM issue to me as obviously more power means more heat and more pressure build up

I was thinking a big PWR radiator for a V8 supercar but they are around the 900 mark but they give more volume so would help with temp issues.

Sorry i might add if i drive the car normal for 2 weeks with coolant its fine its just the 92deg and 6400rpm that does it.

I have been told that a glycol mix runs hotter than water alone, what coolant are you using and at what ratio.
What if you tried an OAT coolant?
Another thing, Ford have an anticavitation additive for the F-Series, try adding half a bottle of it to the cooling system.

Maybe just set the rev limiter to 6300rpm?

I have now tried Tectaloy Anti freeze/boil and Nulon Long life concentrate, i mixed them both at 33% as i wanted to keep more water as its the main part of cooling, Im thinking the higher comp ratio its just over 10.5 plus making more power and the cooling system just cant cope and is getting so heat soaked that it just cant cool.

Is there any Anti-freeze/boil that is glycol free? i dont think there is but maybe someone knows

Hey shaun, you will have to take it to DPC Performance campbellfield, i know a good exorcist there, not only will he get rid of those cooling system demons, he will also make your car go like its been blessed by angels :Reverend: :

Sounds like a reaction from the coolant at that temperature.Have you tried a different coolant? Are you using nulon coolant by some chance?

I think this could be your answer. Years ago I had an RM125 that used to spill its guts with coolant and when I tried pure water it wouldnt lose a drop of water during a race meeting.

I am in-deed still using the Nulon long life concentrate. Have you had an issue with this?
