Default Turbo Cool Down Period

I asked this question in the general 'B' section but thought I'd get a better reception here.

Is it still necessary to idle the engine, in a BA XR6 Turbo, for about 30 to 45 secs before turning it off, to allow the turbo to cool down after driving?

It was recommended to do this in the WRX STi but I haven't heard of anyone doing in the BA T's.

A minute or two would be ample. Cool down is usually for bronze bushed turbos, The BA's etc are water cooler ball bearing turbos, so not really needed
