Where to put Car Stands?

OK guys this might be the stupidest question yet!!

But where do u place the car stands on my xr8, front and back???
Also where am i "SUPPOSED TO" Jack the car up from?

Jack the car up from the K-frame, the brace that runs behind the sump. NOT from the sump itself.
Jack stands, I usually put them under the sills, they spots they use for the arms on a hoist. OR the trailing arm mounting points on the body itself.

i jacked it up once on the sills and put a mad bend in it... not doin that again..

Same here... a couple of slots in a bit of pine and nil sill damage
