Default Factroy stereo playing up...

Gday, my factory Fairlane stereo has packed up, locked onto one station with all buttons not working including steering wheel controls, except for the power on/off and volume control on the until itself.
I made the mistake of disconnecting the battery to try and fix it, and now I can't enter the code as nothing happens when the buttons are pushed.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated as its bloody killing me not having anything to listen to, and I need to do a bit of driving in the weekend.

Cheers.

Could be in some kind of locked programming loop mode where everything is disabled while it tries to work out what's wrong with something, or is waiting for it to time out.

Maybe you might need to remove it from the dash and unplug it, let it sit for an hour or something, then plug it back in. Just an idea.
