Default Its here 2.01 $ per litre

Over here in kiwiland we are now paying 2.01 a litre for unleaded(reached that today),it was predicted and is now a reality,1 year ago people were getting upset about paying 1.43 a litre.

Wink fuel costs LPG 53.9

filled the AU last Saturday 60 litres $30
thats LPG at Shell Marsden on the south side of Brisbane
it was 53.9 less 4 cents from Coles and less another 2 cents for spending $2 in the garage I bought the Saturday Courier mail news paper
thanks John

Look at it this way, we are all paying for some rich dude being able to maintain his fleet of Ferraris, ships and aircraft .... and he thinks life is hard and becoming worried about his mortgage and food on his kid's plates.

Cheaper down there than up here... 2.05 for 95. I run my Fairlane on LPG at 1.08/L. My 250cc sports bike takes 98 at nearly twice the price. The Fairlane is nearly as cheap to run as the bike lol.

Heard this on the radio on my way to work this morning. Before the US went into Iraq crude was $24 a barrel. Since then it has reached over $130 a barrel and climbing. You can see the trend. Yet they still only pay around $3.00 a gallon. Maybe we should declare war on some country and run around in F250's, Chevy Suburbans and Dodge Rams with the odd Hummer thrown in to boot. I paid $1.52.4 a litre for E10 on Tuesday morning and didn't fill the mighty EA after $100 disappeared out of my wallet. Anyway i know who to blame for rediculous fuel prices but enough of my waffling.
Regards,
Bob.

RIP
V8

Here lies the last V8. Died a horrible agonizing death by dehydration. Owner also buried beside, he could not live with the horror of the silence any longer and driven mad he stood in front of a prius... and waited......and waited.

Thats because the Americans are charging the cost of rebuilding the country back to the Iraqi people and government! But they don't make them pay in currency but with Oil-Credits .... so essentially the more damage they do, more damage they repair and the more credits they get the longer they get a massive subsidy on the price of a barrel of oil.

Dauphin, yes Methane is a flammable gas from rotting material. Common to tap it from waste sites.

What a load of BS

Petrol is 2.01 NZD PL I jsut did the conversion and came up with
2.01 New Zealand Dollar(s) = 1.64865 Australian Dollar(s)
1 AUD = 1.21918 NZD
1 NZD = 0.820223 AUD

so considering the exchange rater currently at 1.21 and that NZ GST is higher than ours we are being well and trully rogered with taxes tarrifes etc

thats probably why you dont see much LPG in NZ they dont need to there not being shafed as hard on ULP

end rant

Yeti your logic is flawed, the conversion is correct AUD to NZD however in NZ they still all get paid in NZD, so it's still costs them $2.01 a litre. If they were paid in AUD and then had to buy everything in NZD your logic would work, but I am afraid that doesn't wash in this example for the Kiwis. And wages in Aus are higher on average, so my fellow kiwis are indeed getting stung. It's still costing them $100+ NZD to fill a tank, out of their hard earned. If I used your logic the poor Kiwi earning $40,000 pa, is actually only getting $32,808 he's magically lost $7200. Must be those sneaky oil companies siphoning his wages!

Pig excrement causes ammonia at least. I worked on a pig farm a while ago, on hot days if we didn't open the blinds to the grow-out shelters you couldn't even go inside them without tearring at the eyes. I'm now doing factory work where we use ammonia in the manufacturing process of frozen food products, it's not flammable as far as i know though, apparently toxic though but would have to be farely thick i would say, i've worked thru many an ammonia leak it just smells horrible and makes ones eyes water.

Back on topic though.. price of fuel is becoming ridiculous. And the new government 5c crap is bull$***, what's $.05/L going to do... nothing.

My problem is not with what the average NZ worker earns, my problem is it is selling at that rate and can be sold as such.

try multiplying the price of fuel per litre by the number of litres your tank holds.

hope that doesn't boggle the mind.

i don't earn a lot more than that and i'm not here crying that i'm "poor".

somehow, i still manage to pay off 2 mortgages and drive the LTD every week. we also have the courier for tip runs and i have the festiva for daily travel. the girl has a corolla for daily commuting.

all of a sudden we're supposed to feel sorry for our kiwi mates because they're paying $2 a litre??? give me a break! we will be paying that AND MORE by the end of this year... mark my words.... and we'll still be able to afford driving V8's.
