Default gas prices could kill

do u think the hike in gas prices could kill off the classic car Boom, it a bit like the real estate boom but is not affected by interist rate rises, the car market is in for a little bit then the stock exchange will be back in full swing by next year. who knows the good old cobra jets might come back to earth.
eg a 1969 mustang fastback mac1 sells for more than a 2005 car

i dont think it will affect muscle car prices at all. might even have the opposite effect; higher prices = not as many people driving them = unique = dersirable.

maybe....

This is going to sound weird but my future garage will consist of some kind of hybrid car (even a prirus I dont care) for monday-friday, then some V8 ripping beast to hoon on the weekends.

Dodge, we call it petrol in Australia mate : , unless you're talking about running a Stang on lpg (or giggle gas : )

I don't think petrol prices will do much to the market for collector type V8s/muscle cars as the sort of kays these cars generally do is not going to make you worry about the fuel cost. Daily driver type cars is a different story especially since carby V8s aren't known for economy as a general rule.
