Default Interstate Car Carrier- Needed Wagga to SA

I have bought a car from Wagga Wagga and need to get it to Berri, SA. Any ideas on the cheapest carrier to use?
I can pickup from Adelaide, even though the truck would go past my front door and keep going another 230km! Mildura VIC is another pickup option.

mate is it that ute in your avatar? if so i know the previous owner, and knowing the car it would be well worth the money to fly over and drive it back. I'll pick you up from the airport if need be.

Yep, thats my Ute, bought it in March. Im assuming you knew the last owner from Griffith.
The car I have bought from wagga is an EF.
Ive got Adelaide Car Express organised to pick it up Friday. Doing the sums with petrol etc for the 730km trip, accommodation etc, trucking it works out quite reasonable. Thats 730km there and then 730 back again with 2 cars, or one and a trailer.

If you can get out of it........

Toll took my car from Canberra to Mildura for $288, they picked the car up and delivered it. They should drop in Berri - they just have to make sure the car is last on. Ring Toll in Wagga.

cheers

Might give them a ring, better than $495 which I thought was a good price!
I think you need to have an account with them though!
Cheers

Be very cautious mate

There are a heap of horror stories on here using the big car companies like Toll and VIP

Do a search on this - pay peanuts get monkeys they say......I would pay more and ensure there are no issues!

One of my mates had Adelaide Car Express bring his XR8 down from Brisbane and had no dramas at all, so Im happy to let them move a snotty old EF!
The price I was quoted was door to door, which is more than depot to depot.

I know a few drivers in Wagga who ferry rental vehicles across the states if you're interested? They are retired older fellows and dont charge very much... (cash only ;) )
I might be able to key up a vehicle needing picking up in SA, so they just drive your vehicle to you and pick up their vehicle down there.

Thanks for the offer mate, but Im in country SA, about 230km NE of Adelaide and we don't have any car rental places here. If all goes well it is going to be picked up tomorrow and I should have it Saturday.

The car turned up today. No hassles at all.
It was on the truck with a Lotus Elise, Porsche 944 turbo, a '32 Ford rod and several other boring cars.
I would definitely recommend Adelaide Car Express to anyone, I was impressed with the way they do things.
