Default Sept Top Gear Aus mag mistake?

Hey i'm lookin through the latest topgear mag(in stores). on page 99 it has a review of the LP560-4 Lambo Gallardo. its got pictures all around, of course one of the stig sittin in the drivers seat but where it has "Tech Spec" above the lowest pages it says

Price: $214.500(cheap as for a lambo right?? more like $414k)
Max power 391kw@5000rpm (not right) - in the back of the mag it says 368kw
Max Torque 419nm@9000rpm (i dont think they rev that high, and the torque seems a bit low) in the back it says 510nm
Weigh 575kgs (pure WTF) the back of the mag says 1520kg
Power/Weight 692kw/tonne(i wish!)
0-100km/h: 4.0 secs (back of mag says 4.2sec)

WTF. what kind of editing is that? like seriously?

I know the price is what they printed, they just forgot to change it from pound to $$$ when they flogged the article from the August issue of the Brit mag. Read that article ages ago lol.

Maybe you could ask the salesman when you purchase one? otherwise although its a mistake and shock horror people do make mistakes. does it really really affect you in any way...

Sheesh *bangs head* I am positive some people MUST find something to complain about.

If they were giveing the mags away for free I guess it would not be a problem, but since they charge for it and lots at that, I would expect the information in the mag to be correct, otherwise why buy it and why read it if it is just random figures with no relavance???

For those who have copies: how much content in the Australian mags is original content written for Australia? I've only briefly flipped through the first issue once. Sounds like it has an amount of reprinted, older UK content in it.

The front cover is the same as the brit one apart from the wording, had a quick flick through the Aus one at the newsagent and decided against buying it because I'd already read most of the articles in the Aug brit copy when I was there. The only thing I could see different were local interest articles.

214000 is actually very pricey even in pounds

Not sure where they pulled that number from!

Your rather filppant reply reeks of someone who readily accepts rubbish. Thankfully most people don't, and if they purport to be a motoring mag they should get basics like cost and other details on a specific car right.

I find the Mag an enjoyable read but there are many errors contained in that magazine and I'm sure most of them stem from the fact half the stories are lifted from the English version.

It good fun reading the articles but there stats are suspect as far as I'm concerned.

Of course he is someone that readily accepts rubbish as his user name suggests he drives a VYSS(rubbush of the highest order)
