I have a Dec 1999 AU Falcon Classic which I converted to dual-fuel last year. She's done 160,000 kms and is in good order. I'm getting 12.5ltrs per 100km around town and 10ltrs per 100 kms on the highway. I didn't think that was too bad at all considering the lower cost of LPG.
However, when towing a caravan at 1400kgs with 140kgs on the ball at a steady 85kph, the LPG fuel consumption rockets up to 24ltrs per 100 kms. As I'm a bit of a beginner at caravanning, are these figures what other people have experienced? |

That's what to expect towing a van mine does the same with a 1000KG pop top at 85-90 (Auto in third). You are doing well at 12.5 on LPG around town.
