Merry Christmas all!

Unfortunately, I didn't plan it very well and am working. :

I guess it's too much to ask to have two Christmases.

You were correct in your assumption, just saying there are a few nationalities that celebrate Christmas by the old calander.

No idea... it's weird though, because they still use the old calendar for Easter.

My missus is Catholic(she's Croatian) so I go to her place for Christmas, and this year my sister inlaw (she's Australian) had Christmas at their place, so the last two weeks has been all about food

Eat, drink, be merry... you know, the usual Christmas stuff. :

I usually try and organise my holidays so I've got both off, but this year I stuffed up.

Merry Christmas!

We had a big Xmas Eve dinner last night with family... and plenty of left overs to eat till the end of the week!

Are there a lot of Ukrainians in Australia?

This could be interesting...

There's about 87 different nationalities in Melbourne, so there would be a few Ukainians lurking around here.
I know my mums friends husband was half serb/ukrainian (buried him 2 years ago).

Melbourne is quite multicultural (more then the other states I've been to).

I once dated a Ukrainian, top chick
Not a orthodox on the contrary a Muslim, Turkish : Have many orthodox mates from the Balkans

Here's some orthodox celebrations from motherland

Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew (L) blesses believers during a Christmas mass in Aya Yorgi (St. George) church at Fener Greek orthodox patriarchate in Istanbul

Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew (L) blesses believers during a Christmas mass in Aya Yorgi (St. George) church at Fener Greek orthodox patriarchate in Istanbul

A Greek Orthodox boy lights a candle during the Christmas mass at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George in Istanbul, Turkey. Patriarch Bartholomew I, the spiritual leader of the world's Orthodox Christians, led hundreds of worshippers at a crowded Christmas service to celebrate the feast of Nativity. Many were pilgrims from neighboring Greece.
