yeh but the current v6 sedan wieghs close to 1700kg.

Would imagine the VF or VEII with a 3l would wiegh around 1500 if they stick to their guns and reduce wieght. The 3.6l DI at 1500kg would r**e real a$$.

They are NEVER ever going to remove 200kg from the VE. Even aluminium panels (not chassis) would reduce weight by 50kg at the most. Still equals about 1650kg. A 6spd auto would weigh more than their 4spd too, increasing the weight.

The Rattletech/alloytech shares the same block, no matter what capacity. The weight of the engine will vary by a tiny amount.

Bingo. If they can keep the car at the same weight while adding more and making the engine more efficient then the job is done.
