I had a twin 2 1/4" on mine before i changed to twin 2.5s. Much more pickup from 3500rpm+ but i did lose a little bit of bottom end grunt, mainly under 2000rpm. Did you notice any loss down low?

Finally got back to the Motorplex with mixed results from my driving
new clutch and flywheel made it different to drive with the revs climbing faster it caught me out on the first run and went to 6000rpm normal change about 5000rpm ran a 14.3?? :
was much the same through the night and ran best of 14.299 on the last run so i dont know where my 13s have gone to ???

Only thing i can think is that i was goin regularly last yr and the computor responded to that but now we have had a lay off it has gone back to normal ??

Maybe its time for a real tune now hey

On a side note it is awsome to drive on the road feels very responsive and i think it sounds awsome :eclipsee_

Thats ok, dont get too hung up on the times, did you run the 13.6 in cooler weather? What was your mph?

13.6 is a cracker of a time though with no tune, very impressive.

Thats a bumma regards to your 1/4mile times, are your 60 footers the same as before?

Good to hear that your happy with the new clutch and flywheel, is it a organic disk and did you get the aluminium flywheel (same as me)

yes the weather was warmer and the altitube density was at 450-500metres were as fastest times were at 80-100 metres ? mph was 99.15 compared to 101s last yr even managed a 13.7@103mph last yr

couldnt tell you what the clutch is Craig but will go past and find out all i know about the flywheel is that it was lightened and from extreme so it could be alloy?

60 footers were all around 2.3 compared to 2.04 i think for my fastest time last yr?

Well thats where youve lost your time. Every .1 at the 60 is .2 at the end, so you should be around .6 of a second of your PB. Add in the warmer weather and thats where the .7 of a second went.

Only thing that I think would make it that much slower off the line, even though its making more power would be if the clutch was slipping a little bit. Do you use slicks at all?

Hmm with a tune you should see 10 to 15% increase in real world power and increased torque.. Fair power increase on dyno but a little on the lower side.

You may find that that drastic difference is purely down to the lighter flywheel. I've seen on a flywheel/clutch website somewhere that drag cars favour a heavier than stock flywheel for the launch for some reason - can't remember why. Probably less chance of bogging down. I'll see if I can find the website.

I had the light weight fly with the extreme ceramic clutch and mine didn't feel the best to launch, after seeing how you went I put the skimmed old fly back and a organic clutch and it went much harder.
