That was the entry into the Adelaide race. November 08

CS 182 Grant Perryman (driver) Ben Connolly (co Driver) 2000 Ferrari 360 Challenge

It seems this car has quite a bit of racing history, Found entries for the 2006/07/08 adelaide races.

It's Saturday morning at the Classic Adelaide tarmac rally, and an overly keen competitor (who shall remain nameless) in a Ferrari 360 Challenge rips into a right-hander “a bit too hot”. Out steps the tail, then in goes the nose as the Fezza ends up impaled into a tree. More embarrassed than disconsolate, the driver remarks to the attendant crash crew that rather than allow his “brain fade” to end his weekend, he’d simply select another Ferrari from his collection and come back on Sunday.

Wonder why it never got repaired though?
Sounds like he had the money to fix it even though it was only bought for racing.

I recon a GT 40 could handle a Ferrari engine.. How sweet....

opto - I don't think it would be 'right', sure the power is there but a GT40 always had 'grunt'. Perhaps if it was supercharged...

Re the Classic Adelaide crash while just popping home to grab the next Ferrari is taking things to the extreme, if you enter an event like that you have to accept the possibility your car might end up parked around a tree. Things like some gravel or moisture on the road in just the wrong spot even if you are theoretically doing everything right.
