Default AU 1 Forte wagon - missing cyl 5

Hey guys,

Just after some advice, i'm about to off-load an au wagon to a mate of mine. But before i do i wanna try and fix the miss it has. It was there when i purchased the car, i replaced the rear 4,5,6 spark leads and it disappeared, how-ever it has suddenly reappeared yesterday during a short drive. Its a 1999 AU wagon, 4lt 6cyl automatic. Its only done 141,000km if that helps. It was sitting for approx 2yrs before i got it.

Any help would be great,

Cheers Doug

Sorry i didn't get a chance to post this info as my net was playing up. It is a constant miss, disappeared for a short period of time when i removed the coil-pack to clean it up. How ever since then i have had no spark from no. 5 at all. I have tried multiple leads from the coil but still nothing. Is it possible for the coil pack to die and loose 1 cylinder? If not should i be checking anything else that could cause this problem ie. Crank angle sensor, the thingo where the dizzy normally is on older models.

Its ok, i found out the coil had failed apparently but i have a spare one from an ef so i'm gonna fit it tomorrow and see if that helps. Stav - Yes i've changed both the plugs and leads.
