Default Anyone been booked for "Tailgating"

Just wanted to take a bit of a survey, now that I can ask hundreds of people at once.

Has anyone here ever been booked for tailgating (not the BBQ party the Yanks have in the Football Stadium carpark, but following the car ahead at a dangerously close distance), or even known someone who has? I've never come across anyone, and just curious how often this dangerous driving behaviour actually gets any attention from the police! I see it more often than I see speeding drivers, but it never seems to get any attention from the authorities.

I think you're asking the wrong demographic...most here wouldn't tailgate let along have been caught for it.

Unless you do it right in front of the cops, you can do almost anything and get away with it, provided you aren't speeding. It is what happens when Constable Kodak is the primary source of traffic infringements/ traffic fine revenue
