Default Rhino roof racks A little story to tell...

This happened in early October but still apologise for the late story writing.... but it would be more better off if you guys are more aware of this:

Some of you may know that I have purchased rhino racks and Thuke bike carriers in the past year for my 2009 WS Fiesta, and I also purchased another thule bike carrier onto my racks a week before...in October.

I had two mountain bikes locked with in the thule bike carriers, on my car, and I was travelling home from the south coast NSW - and unfortunately, have experienced a interesting but freak accident with the racks itself. I was travelling 80km after pelting rain and winds --- the racks along with the carriers and bikes of course came ripping off my car roof.

There was no stratches on my car roof of course, but the roof racks, carriers and my bike (my girlfriend's got spared) was destroyed. Lucky, there was no cars behind me, when the incident happened, It was real scary to see this happen, it seems that it wasn't professionally tightned. Right now, I have submited a warranty claim to have these replaced as these items, espeically come to bike carrier I purchase one week earlier has also been destroyed. All come together $700 in the past year I spent to transport my bikes. Right now, I am still waiting for the replacement and my car is feelin' naked so as we speak :-/

Just letting youse know of this, come across if you have similar racks as mine, ensure it is nice and tight ...and of course secured safetly.

I have the same setup on my Fez. No issues so far. It does get a bit scary when you hear the sound of the bike roll forward and back a little bit though.

Yeah mate, but it would have not bee nobvious that the racks was missing if I didn't hear these. Apparently, I am deaf however with my sensitive vision, I caught it all on my rear vision mirror.

I have Rhino racks on one of my cars, they were on when I bought the car. I recently got Rhino kayak mounts for it. Absolute rubbish and they weren't cheap. They're made of cheap plastic that will break in a few months. The mounts are such a poor fit that I have to use vice grips to fit them to the racks. If you need a set of racks look at the other brands first.

That's why the RTA recommend you check your rear view mirrors every 10 seconds.

Just in case your Rhino roof racks fall off.

I did my research and so far the rhino racks and thule carriers was the far the best out there - and I had these roof racks for a year and one of the thule carriers was only one week old before it got destroyed.

I've got thule bars with the matching carriers... never had a problem, even with 4 bikes on the roof (yes it was a tight squeeze)
