With the Thailand focus looking like it will be the first Ford product to introduce Sync to Australia, I thought it timely to post up some info I've just found wile researching Windows 7 Embedded.

I'm hoping to play with Windows 7 Embedded on a cheap Intel D2700 mini-itx system, with a focus on making it so it integrates with the BA/BF Colour ICC input. We came across some issues a few years ago trying the same thing with Windows XP on an Intel 945GC system, so perhaps a 2nd try at it might prove more successful. It might translate to an FG screen, but I've not looked into the input requirements on the FG yet.
I'll be leveraging Centrafuse and a touch screen overlay, which is probably cheating a bit, but I wonder how much of the Sync experience we can replicate in this setup? Lukeyson

I was under the impression my Mondeo had something to do with Ford Sync in it, 2010 Zetec with the Convers+ screen between the tacho & speedo. I'm probably wrong though by the looks of things.
There is a whole forum out there dedicated to Ford Sync, I stumbled across it while looking for further info on "hacking" my Mondeo's screen to be able to display other info - some might be interested in it - http://fordsyncforum.com/
