Default Crow K6201 kit. What are you paying?

Hi all
Phoned up Crow today to order the K6201 parts kit.
I got quite a shock when the lady on the other end of the phone quoted me $530+ freight and that I had to remove my current springs and measure them before ordering them.
I may be wrong but I remember seeing people on here had only paid around the $300 mark. Im just after the springs , retainers and collets.
So what did you pay and where did it come from?

I was looking on eBay for other options and saw this kit come up
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181038391...=p5197.c0.m619

Whats peoples thoughts on it?
Cheers

Crane Beehives are the goods, arguably better than the Crow kit.

Interesting.
Why do you say they are better?
I have been having a read at some info since I posted the link and I am finding some horror stories with the beehives.

Plenty people prefer beehives because they allow a smaller retainer to be used, less weight = higher rpm.
There are some other small advantages too. Google beehive valve springs.

Plenty people don't like them.

I've heard plenty of horror stories about Crow - none of the stories wouldn't necessarily stop me from using either brand.

As I said arguably better...

Im also thinking about the Trickflow TFS2500100 kit.
It comes with a hell of a lot of gear for the dollars.

Ive quoted that kit many times and the price is about right. Should include timing chain, pushrods, collets, springs and retainers.

Ive never been asked to measure springs though.

Ok well that makes more sence then.
Im only after the springs , retainers and collets.
So I should be looking at the part numbers individually then seeing as though Im not after the timing chain or pushrods?

Yes, part number for the springs is 7738-16. Cant remember if that comes with retainers and collets or not - I have a feeling it doesnt.
