Ended up drilling two holes on each side, the first ones ended up being next to the welds and the lock-nuts fouled on them. Next time look under you drop-kick...

Managed to cover the first hole with the bar, so all good

Went into Kyneton this evening on a pizza run with #2 son.

Lights are really good but a bit...quirky. When you first turn them on they're orange like a sodium-vapour street light and quite dim. After about 2-3s they're diamond white, melting road-side signs and lighting up the road about a kilometres away.

After having halogens with instantaneous-on for the last 30-odd years it's something I'll have to get used to, along with the colour. The lights are very very bright though and throw a lot of light down the road.
