Default FPV wheel lock nut key

Just finished installing my Shockworks coilovers in preparation for an up coming track day at Mallala & I broke my lock nut adaptor/key.
Anyone have any idea on how long it takes to get a new one ?

You cant buy them as a direct replacement item. You can order a new lock nut and socket set with 4 lock style wheel nuts.
There are 5 different socket / nut combinations and its pot luck as to which of the 5 combinations you will be sent.

Best bet is to remove the remaining lock nuts and replace them with standard wheel nuts.
Ebay is your friend for the lock nuts and standard wheel nuts.

The adaptor/key has a number on it so I should be able to get the same one it's just a matter of how long it takes to get one...?

I think ford lost the manufacturer for the lock nuts so any stock they have is all thats available. Hence purchasing a full new set may be only option.

I rang Ford today with my vin & the number from the lock nut adaptor.
The manufacturer of the lock nuts has ceased business.
The only solution is to smash a slightly smaller socket over the lock nut & then remove defunct item.
I did this this evening.
There are NO new replacement FPV black lock nuts available anywhere.
There are 3 sets of new chrome lock nuts with the adaptor to suit in NSW.
That's it.
They don't match oem my twisties so...
Thanks for nothing FORD/FPV/FOMOCO

Re rattle guns... the only way you can stop tyre & suspension shops using them is to remove & refit them yourself manually.
They refuse to do manually.

Whenever I have to take my vehicle into a tyre shop I remove my lock nuts prior to taking it in.👍
Years ago I had a particular tyre place use their rattle gun on the lock nuts and they absolutely stuffed the key in the process.😡
When I approached them about it, They just played dumb and denied any responsibility. Hence why I now just remove them

Ford used a SA supplier for its lock nut kits. However, as others have said, that supplier went bust a while ago and replacement keys cannot be ordered anymore. Some dealers have old stock and sometimes the keys come up on eBay... It's pretty hit and miss to get them. Do be careful with them, they are very soft and will round and/or split easily.

Where your nuts sold with the car as standard equipment?
Australian law, car manufacturers must supply parts and service for up to 10 years.

Electronics is 5 years, I had compensation from Toshiba because they couldn't supply parts for a TV that was 4 years old..

10 years for essential parts that keep the car road worthy and running, lock nuts can be replaced with normal nuts or an alternate. For example will all know trim items go obsolete in a couple of years, cosmetic items do not come under this rule!!

Grab a set of spare locknuts and throw them under your pillow for the years to come left lane bonnet poppers and tea sippers

For now run std nuts all round and enjoy the simplified life and no angrys at tyre dudes, whatevers, etc messing yo shizzle up
