Default LZ Focus - gauge puzzle

Two days ago I put $30 worth of petrol in my vehicle. Then, as I drove out of the service station, I noticed that the petrol gauge had not moved.

Then as I went along, the gauge very very slowly moved to a stable position.

Has not happened since. But I wonder now that I may not be getting a correct reading.

What could have caused the gauge to slow down? Housekeeping by a microprocessor? Bubble in the fuel line?

Well . . you haven't really provided a lot of detail. For example, what was the gauge reading before you put petrol in; how many litres did $30 get you; the gauge moved up or down to a 'stable position' . . .

The only way you can test for a correct reading is to fill the tank up to the first 'click' of the fuel nozzle. Then your gauge should show full. If it doesn't, then you have a problem.
