Hi all.
I need to do an oil change on the daughter's 2015 diesel but need to know if it's an element or cartridge type. Can anyone confirm and give the Ryco number please? On a side note, how do I check the map version on the wife's 2016? I don't think it was updated last service and it's almost due again. Thanks in advance. |

EDIT: Please ignore this response I thought we were talking a Territory rather than a Mondeo. It says this one cartridge one: https://www.rycofilters.com.au/catal...ex/part/R2662P here: https://www.rycofilters.com.au/Searc...ar=2015&liter=

Thanks Blue but I went to the site and it said Z2999 for an MD. The closest to the 2663 is R2662P for an MB.
Now I'm really confused as to the right one. |

PS: Another good reason to always specify the vehicle when asking a question. Yes; it was in the Mondeo section but I always just search by new posts.

Then there's the special plastic sump plug remover installer tool: https://www.lasertools.co.uk/product/6928 and https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Plastic-...wAAOSwp-RaaFOy I am not sure any of this is an advance in car service technology. You can bulk by the plugs https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-PSA...-/264289774760

This may help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq4cI-RjaWU looks like the servos probably reuse that single use bung. Also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLUwxCYH5VU and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln43g2fnLGU
And for the air and fuel filter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKJmOoccmag Also some good hints here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkDWvT1A09E

You have to admire his sense of humour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZCUrqADWR0 Probably worth all Mk 5 Diesel owners subscribing to his channel. He has fleet of them as taxis so he is going to find and tell you about all sorts of interesting things.

Appreciate the assistance Blue. While I've been working on cars since I was about 10 (I'm now 60), I'm new to the mondeo and their quirks so it's just a matter if getting used to it.
I've never had a car that changes the cabin filter every 15000. They've all been at 30k. I might even have a go at making one of the plug removal tools. It looks easy. I've got a lathe and a milling machine so it shouldn't take too long. |

Haha. I like the term young fellow.
It does look easy to remove by hand but then you risk being burnt. I'd more than likely set it up like a socket on an L bar. I've been caught out before. |

Hi ivorya.
Unfortunately they don't do that one. They have a short range of three plastic sump plugs only. The TDP001 is the Ford plug, and it covers Mondeo, Focus, Endura & Escape. And yes, the tune is great. Best $625 mod ever. |
