Are you sure about that? I remember in the first month or so, people who where supposed to be in isolation after testing positive were roaming all around town.

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but as the news/politics has been so toxic around the world I've been spacing out off in the famous incidents of computer gaming. There's some funny stuff there. This event was legendary - the Corrupted Blood Plague of World of Warcraft:

Programming oversight. Deadly pathogen. Unintentional breach of containment. Asymptomatic carriers. Isolation attempts, quarantine attempts. There is mandatory hotel quarantine for all incoming people for 14 days. It has been this way for a long time.

Initially there was a requirement for self isolation, which was also enforced by random checks, but this was not sufficient.

But hotel quarantine is not completely safe. There is a cluster in Melbourne caused by one of the workers at Rydges becoming infected.
