Default What are the cons of installing paint protection film?

I’m intending to have the front of my car from the windscreen forward and the mirrors covered with paint protection film (PPF).

I’m familiar with most of the pros of doing this. What are the cons?

I would particularly like to hear from those of you who’ve had PPF installed — both good and bad experiences.

Can any of you recommend an installer in Melbourne? (I have one in mind although I haven’t committed to them yet.)

Hi , have been using PPF for more than 15 years on my cars , have not encountered any cons so far , just keep it clean with a product called Vuplex thats about it .

Can recommend www.invisiblecarbras.com.au , been in the game a long time .

Cheers

Thanks Bolt60 , bought some Vuplex and it's a great product. Used it on the headlights of my other 2 cars and it works brilliantly, i will get around to using it on my PPF eventually.

A con would be that if u have an accident you would have to replace it.
