Default Light switch

On the Focus light switch, there is the low beam, parkers and off position. There is also another parking light position. Can anyone tell me the difference between this position and the other parking light position, other than one won't annoy the hell out of you from beeping; and only turns on when you stop the car?!?!

A but dumb if you ask me. It should have made more sense to make it a daytime running light instead (i know ghia has auto lights)

Thats a european car park lamp, what that does is only turns on the 4 parking bulbs around the car, no number plate lights or interior dash lights come on... European countries use them in ty wheather when cars are parked on the side of the road.

Yeah. I like them although I've never used them. But its good to know that its there if I ever need them. Quite handy I think if I ever break down in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.

Why do both LH and RH parkers come on. On Mercs only the RH comes on?

Its a warning type saftey system if you break down in low light situations. The only merc i have driven both came on? Or maybe i imagined it. Cant think of a reason for only one comming on not both tho
