Default Ebay Exhaust Systems, Please Help

hey guys, can anyone tell me if the catback exhaust systems on ebay are really just bolt on stuff? Ie, can I do it myself?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-Falcon-A...QQcmdZViewItem

Im just after a replacement exhaust as the standard one is getting a bit sad.
Its for an AU Forte 6cyl. Not really chasing performance as its just the get around car.

Or is there something else around cheaper/easier ?

Thanks,
steve

Yes, they are just bolt on, and are worth it. 2.5" mandrel bent, none of the cheap press bent stuff you would get at an exhaust shop. I have one on our wagon - had never fitted an exhaust before, but it comes with gasket, bolts and clamp to suit your car.

Dunno about exhaust shops using 'cheap press bent' stuff, depends what you ask for. I got a mandrel bent 2.5" cat back supplied and fitted for 200 dollars. That doesn't include the tip but when I find one I like they'll put it on for free for me. If JC says the ebay ones are good then I'm sure they are, just depends on price. Good luck with it anyway!

Should have mentioned that, mine is press bent as JC said, so you would be better off getting Mandrel bent. Mine still sounds nice though, and it doesnt look like Ive lost much in the way of horsepower. It still made 121.1 RWKW at RDP with just 2.5 Press bent cat back, air filter and tickford intake, and thats on 91 ron regular. Hope that helps a bit more.

the problem isn't putting the new one on, it's usually getting the old bastard off, i hate it, they're always seized and pressed together. and you don't have enough room to work them apart or swing a hammer or even get a hackswa in there
