Default Need advice on buying a AU fairlane

Hey all,

Well the EA 'S' pac has finally S&*T itself so i need a new car.. Ive got an opportunity to buy a AU fairlane millenium with 70,000 k's ont he clock... its dual fuel and in awesome condition... a couple of questions?

1) Performance wise... since im not concerned about price of fuel... if i go the basic mods ie. 2.5" system, hi flow cat, CAI, K&N filter.. will having the LPG hinder my performance when running fuel or wont it matter

2) How much of a pain in the is it to remove the LPG System?

3) at $11,999 should i buy it

Thanx for any assistance

Man id buy it today, right now, in fact i would have bought it yesterday. I spent ages looking for a NL/AU Fairlane on LPG with less than 120klms on it and at that price its a bargain.

AU Fairlane on LPG, i would kill people to have that for that price. LPG wont really hinder the performance much (I wouldnt remove it), with the nice VCT Motor, and those mods, the Fairlane should have a fair bit of grunt, sure its not a TS, but it will go OK.

What he said - apart from 3. $12k for a 70K Fairlane is about right; especially as it's on LPG.

12k is a bargain.
gas.....just because it has it, who said you have to use it?
when its turned off, performance wise its like its not even there, so MOD away!!

if you arent going to buy this car, PM me the details and location.

There is not problems with performance on LPG, none at all. As for not using it, at half the price of petrol, why wouldnt you.

The performance between gas and petrol in the real world is un noticable so i'd leave gas on and if you go to the track then switch it to petrol and make sure gas tank is empty. It's a fairlane so you dont have to be concerned with flat flooring every traffic light take off but with your mentioned mods which mine has they are a great performer. As for the price and kays it is a very good buy.
