Again, the cops have a hard task atm, she is ok but maybe she didn't know .. stupid beach

I wasn't aware that justifies being choked and sat on

Everyone is all for it until it happens to them, I wish I could do that to my customers who don't provide info when asked and be smart asses I'd have a body count that'd rival Saddam Hussein

That 'lady' had it coming. She actually had an exemption for wearing the mask and rather than just act normal when asked normal questions by the cops she took it upon herself to exercise her God given right to be silent, not provide any personal details and best of all not state that she had an exemption for the mask...

The bloody book should be thrown at her... She also kicked the other officer.

There are probably several charges they should have given her - including assaulting an officer.

30 days in the slammer and $10k fine for these people.

Watch them comply with pleasure when they see a few before them get that.

Thank you for participating in my game - Rogosaurus picked up right away there's two sides to the story

Yes we don't know what happened in the lead up but still, take the higher ground, if he didn't choke her he probably wouldn't be on the news and I imagine his management team are going to be head in hands after this one

Nah, that's just what murdocracy wants you to believe. Car traffic has reduced dramatically in the past week. Shopping centre car parks are now 2/3 empty. People are actually complying. Why is there no news about that?

Hopefully we are starting to see some benefits of the lock downs. 2 x low 300 new cases in consecutive days....it should deserve a mention but you don't hear about it....its only "record deaths", "deadliest day"....

Murdocracy relies on fear and outrage to sell their papers. People are addicted to it. Nine Ent Co is the same, albeit to a lesser degree.

"Victoria to face years of restrictions".......Its almost like they are barracking for Victorians to become fed up and just run amok...

Yep, I noticed a pattern of two smaller days, then one huge 6 to 700 one for some time - the last four days have all been lower in the 300s

I wonder if he's using that hold to keep her face as far away as possible, with an assumption that she may be infected and to keep as much distance as possible?

From resuscitation training, there's a couple of parts of the hold that are familiar, including what looks like pistol grip and turning via safe recovery position - though I've got no training in restraint techniques so this is only 2c from the peanut gallery.

For the girl it would be quite terrifying, is wearing a mask when it's been directed all that hard?

Deliberate and planned to get some attention. Where's the full video? What was her behaviour like before her friend started filming?? Spitting at and assaulting the male officer not captured on camera?

Looks more like he has her by the collar than the throat, at least initially. Still able to talk **** quite fine for someone being choked

It does seem a weird way to perform an arrest however but I'm not a cop.

Victorian MP David Limbrick was asking the CHO about their plan post lockdown - and of course the 'experts' have absolutely no idea on how we proceed afterwards.

Do we stay in lockdown forever? Seems like it

Yeah it doesn't engender much confidence - maybe the tone was not that of the message.

Continual flareups and lockdowns would be tiring in its own way,

A person with a valid medical condition should have provided a medical certificate or at the very least provided details and complied with directions.

If fined then and they didn't have it on their person, provide it later. It isn't hard.

It doesn't exempt how it was handled by Victoria Police, yes she did the wrong thing and went to illicit a response from them and she got it in spades, now its all over the news and someone is getting the trial by media.

I'm interested to see how this is handled by Victoria Police and what they present to the media or if it goes to court.

If she was black I bet the attitude would be different given it triggered a massive protest in Melbourne a few months ago.

She has already been charged and released. Will get before a judge soon enough.

The lady is getting hammered and the cops praised by the looks of things.

New Zealand coronavirus: Four cases confirmed in one household
After 102 days without coronavirus, New Zealand has confirmed four cases in one family, with no known source.

Stephanie Bedo AUGUST 11, 2020

New Zealand is no longer virus free, with four cases confirmed from one household in Auckland.

The cases have no known source and authorities are working to figure out where the family contracted coronavirus.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced Auckland would return to stage three restrictions for three days starting from midday tomorrow.

The rest of the country will return to stage two for thee days until midnight Friday.

“I know this information will be difficult to receive,” she said.

“We hoped we would not be in this position again.”

The cases had no connection to overseas travel.

The first case confirmed was a person in their 50s who presented to their GP with symptoms yesterday.

Health Minister Dr Ashley Bloomfield said authorities sprung into action and tested the rest of the family.

How the hell would that happen??

100+ days virus free, border lockdown and it persists?

Yep its been a bit weird here the last few days, late last week they govt have been telling us its not if but when it returns and to prep with buying masks, almost like they knew then. Maybe stop bring people across the boarder with only a two week quarantine make it three or four.

This. There has been plenty of cases identified to show a negative test result 14 days after coming into contact with a known positive source, only to then test positive and be infectious 20 to 24 days after.

14 days is not enough it seems for a very small percentage of cases. And that is why it will always start again.

Asking someone to isolate for 14 days seems very difficult, yet alone isolate for 24 to 28 days.

That is what West Australians are doing who want to get home but have to fly into the country via the East Coast. 14 days over east and 14 days on entry to WA

Five7, a coincidence the over the past two week the prime minister and director general of health has been telling the country to prepare for a second lockdown and stick up on masks hey.
Also a coincidence leaked cabinet documents in the second week of July mentioned a second lockdown in August.

No or very minimal community testing.
The borders were never closed, despite what the government said.
People escaping isolation.
People let out of isolation with no testing.
People let out of isolation early.
People let out of isolation early with no testing.
Hotels used for isolation as well as accomodating domestic tourists who’re none the wiser.
People in their second day of isolation mixing with those in their 13th day.
Jacinda brings in over 100 relatives of the Mosque shooting to be at Tarrants trial. Who are all from supposed Covid hotspots.

But once again it simply asks more questions than it answers. As per with Covid 19, actions and decisions around it, nothing adds up.

The only thing adding up will be stressed businesses and household seeing how long they can weather this stupidity.

Yes Jacindas crew are not proving to be as transparent as they have made out to be, in fact it was a election promise. Also that will explain the rumour doing the rounds of a charter flight of a hundred people showing up recently of non english speaking people.

Can I put on my tin foil hat for a minute.
What is to stop people sending this stuff via the handling of parcels from one country to another? If you open something from a foreign country how would you know it was there?
Remember back with the Anthrax, people were sending powder in the mail. It was something you could see when you opened it.
Covid is not something you can see and could probably survive in refrigerated containers of food for example.

Didn't one of China's outbreaks come from frozen seafood imported from Ecuador? All food entering that country now needs proof of virus-free status. It has affected our seafood exports....mind you I haven't noticed any drop in local lobster prices as a result
