you can say that.. but thats not how it works. We have people coming from as far away as Qld who have booked their "spot" months ago and are spending a lot of time effort and money to come to this event. Many bringing their whole families. They will not be left out in the cold.

The thread has been up for months now and started with 3 cars so people have had plenty of time to sign up and get involved.
Personally, its the top 20 cars that made this what it is but everyone who has signed up has played a part. That in mind people will no doubt drop out as things come up so be assured we will probably have room for all the AU's.

I admire those who are coming from far and wide and agree with you whole heartedly. I'm being a bit of a sore loser now I know, I've only got myself to blame for my lack of attention. Bloody ADD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :

Can only hope and prey I suppose and if not well public transport it will be.

funny i was re-reading over some stuff said in the past CASPER mention 50 cars max and 75 for next year ........... maximum cars expected at the very start 20 !!!
looking at the stats now we have
60 confirmed
3 reserved and
6 non AU's = 69
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm now 75 doesnt seem out of the equation..
even 75 au's seem a big possibility..... my uncle's got a nice AU aswell and was asking me too take it along .... oh well if only we had more space ............. and as for just numbers and making a big event i got my dads AU with few more no probs

once again thanx to everyone for making this happen....... i seriously cant wait for this event to happen............ every now and then i drive past albert park with the F1 preparations underway i say to myself im going to be there sooon.....................
cheers
harris

Hee hee ... you gotta keep up ... Bec drives harder than I do. (I'm going to be doing some camera work if i can on the freeway (stills only)
I had a hard time trying to keep up with her when i was driving the Territory and she was driving my ute ... even though it's a slug (which she thinks so as well).

I'd hate to see the way she drives the Territory when I am not looking.

Stiddy, the only reason why Buledriver wants you to lead is so you can keep a look out for those petrol stations. The 8's require frequent stopping. :

I heard that the VCT is known to be as thirsty if not more than some V8's. If i had known that, I would have bought an XR8. Boy don't I feel ripped off. As thirsty as a 8, but with less power :

At least I won't have to take a loan out for the trip down south ... ahhh LPG.
Shame I don't have the cash or the time to have the blower installed though ... then you'd have to be looking for a white ute further off in the distance ... hee hee

My AUII XR8 is actually really great onthe fuel on the freeway. Air conditioning on, hume highway, easily 700 km/s... city driving, clearly a different story!

I'd love to test the range on my ute ... but I don't feel confident as my fuel gauge says it's full ... even though I ahve driven 500-odd kms.

I've already been towed once due to 2 empty tanks of LPG ... I really don't want to be towed again. :(

OK .... may sound silly this idea .... unless someone else has come up with it (as I couldn't be bothered going back through the last 17 pages in this thread ... and it's the end of my nightshift and I couldn't be bothered looking) ...

IS

Nametags for everyone (username/real name) ... makes it easier for the newer people ... and older members who actually haven't put names to faces before ... and are hopeless are remembering names on the day ... especially when we are going to have more than 60 vehicles attend on the day hopefully.

What do the mods think about it????

Even if it means getting one of those sticky labels and a thick Artline texta-pens to write it on the day.

Just a thought.

hahahahah.. have a look at posts 66-69... you liked the idea then too
Yes, I think nametags will be avaliable if people wish to wear them
