Just noticed your sig mate, that's an awesome time. I knew your car had the grunt to get into the 13's. Well done on a top effort.

Why am I not surprised with Grechie's time. I knew what the car was capable of from day 1. He just needed the right combination and I think he has nailed it. Well done mate that is an insane time and is believable as i have been in your car more than 10 times +

yeah still wasnt the perfect setup mark i believe with higher profile tyres it could go 13.5 but thats just me.
it was hitting the limiter an easy 60-80m from the line.
cheers josh.

Your right josh. Hitting the limiter ~60-80m from the line, then trying to go for 5th, missed 5th, and then just left it in nuetrul, i actually lost speed because i was rolling, went from 161 on the rev limiter to 157 across the line.

Sorry for the thread mining but this is relevant to my interests. I'm building a 4.o litre for 13's for $1300 challenge. What extractors did you use? Is this easily repeatable or was this a fluke engine?

Pretty sure he has Pacemaker 4499's & had semi slicks

He fitted Pacemaker 4480 with a 3" Flange and didnt go any faster but you have to take inot account the running gear was older so wear and tear equates to loss of 1.4 mile time

This 13.797 was not a J3 Chip Tune

Retuned J3 Chip with Paul here:- http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11287112 which was posted 2010 - unsure if thats when he got the J3 Tunre though

Some of you's know of my car already and some of you dont, its a EA mocked up to be a EB GT.

She has NO HEADWORK, just shaved to raise comp, ACL bottom end, Bored Out TB, Pod Filter out the bonnet, FULL 3 inch exhaust, and a Wade1673 Cam with 3.7 LSD and a EA-T5 running on a STOCK TICKFORD ECU with AU injectors.

I bought some semi slicks off a member the other week, and put them on for tonite, wasnt looking like i was going to get much runs being there was STACKS of cars...

Headed down with my mate josh whos a member on here, and managed 3 before they shut the gates.

1st run was with 22PSI in the semi slicks, i dumped it 4000rpm and got axle tramp and wheel spin with a average shift into 3rd...managed 14.076 @ 159.79KM/H with a 1.998 60 Footer, then we downed the pressure to 18PSI and i did a btter burnout and managed a 13.902 @ 160.91KM/H with a 1.909 60 Footer this time hitting the rev limiter in 4th at a decent distance from the finish, so i just held it.
Then i managed a 13.797 @ 157.16KM/H with a 1.921 60 Footer and i was silly enough to attempt 5th which i missed so i beilive i lost some KM/H trying to, maybe a 13.6 was in stores if i held the limiter in 4th instead...

Either Way, i have PROVED to all the haters out there, that the RWKW dyno readings ive been pulling lately arent just numbers, its felt real quick, and lately pulled 177RWKW thanks to paul from CVE, just by mucking with the timing a bit.

Im VERY happy with this time, as i beilive its ONE of the fastest N/A 4L i6 times out there, (up with OED666 etc)

So i just wanna say thanks to the people who beilived in me, and STFU to the people that doubted me and said, "run it, no way a stock head can flow over 160rwkw"

Cheers

-Grechie

P.S ill post up the time slips when i scan them some time tommorow!

yeah this was TUNED by us in his driveway we mucked with the timing and made sure it didnt ping then backed it off a bit when it did ping (when it was n/a).
with the j3 it never got more peak power but more mid and low range power.
cheers josh.
