Damn. That's a lot more motorbike-ish than the Focus was but they're quick buggers! Go the AWD!! The Focus almost had a mid-range dual engine note, the induction and the exhaust. That just sounds like 100% engine!!

Some more info. Seems the Pirtek Rally Team website is slowly getting done. (or should I say Pirtex going by the title of the website lol). http://pirtekrally.com.au/

Also going by the ARC live updates http://www.rally.com.au/season07/results07 on their website it looks like Michael Guest is currently 2nd overall. But at the mo he's running in 7th on SS17. Darren Windus is currently 2nd on the stage. Not sure how often they update the results but there is 3 stages left. Looks like the Fords are doing well for only their second round.

Edit: Seems the updates are really are done live and not delayed by much lol. Seems they just started SS18.

At SS20 Helium the Fiesta's were 4th (Guest) and 5th (Widnus) Outright according to rally.com.au but there's no mention on what their final placings were.

4th and 5th for the weekend Eddie, an outstanding result for our team given we only started building the cars in December and this was the second competitive hit out ever. Hopefully the stages where we were 2nd fastest has given Toyota something to think about too

Adam, thanks for keeping us informed and it sure is a great result!. Not having seen the car in person I personally can't help thinking that it reminds me of the Peugot 205 back in the days of the Group B Monsters in the WRC. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I remember.

BTW the coverage from the Rally is on Channel 10 today (right now as I type this) in Sydney and I've recorded it on DVD and I'll watch it later today.

The hand brake system is quite complex as it needs to "de-clutch" the rear diff. We are working on a system that we hope to run at Canberra, but with only a few weeks it is going to be tight.
