Seriously I did it. Put it forward to the government and get them into line on real road safety issues.... like having a better driving test/training.

I did it, I hope she likes reading

I'd like to see the results of the survey, but if it's a major project I'm guessing it won't be due until September sometime.
Tell her good luck with her HSC, I finished last year, and while it's super tough and you feel like just walking out, stick with it and work hard and it will pay off.

did anyone read todays Sunday Telegraph (NSW) & the Labor Govt consideration on reducing the 120hrs for L drivers as families can’t afford the time (presume they mean Petrol cost) to teach their kids & they realise that the impost is effecting less well-off families. As a parent with my second getting their L's in a two year period I know all about the time & petrol cost, but we are talking about my (our) kids’ lives here & reducing the hours will not make them better drivers (nor does in some instances doing the 120 hours). My 2c worth is to either keep the 120hrs, or if it is to be reduced then increase the L age to 18, so they are more mature. A driving instructor made a very interesting comment last week, which is that the current generation (L platers) are very narrow focused which is a result of watching a lot of TV & computer based games/apps & that they have lost the ability/awareness of peripheral vision, which makes a lot of sense. If I have upset anyone, so let it be as I would not want to be a parent who buries their own child as a result of theirs or someone else’s child’s accident

That's alot of hours, if you wrote down 2/3 of all the driving you have done, thats about 6.7 hours a week without fail.
I don't think that's a representation of most other l-platers.
Most people would be lucky to have a spare 7 hours in between school and homework and part time jobs plus having a life to coincide with their parents being at home, having everything done around the house, like dinner, washing, etc etc plus having the want to go driving for an hour every night after a long day.
Also many families would rather not have the burden of an extra $50+ of petrol + car wear every week,

Not having a go, it's great that your driving that much, but I wouldn't say 'it's not that hard'.

I answered it was unfair, especially to those that have to pay an instructor. It would take them years to get a licence unless they were rich.

Also WTF is a black licence? I am in W.A, so was confused at that one. I just wrote other as a google search said it was a licence with restrictions imposed.

I couldn't find current info. Speaking from past knowledge, in NSW, black was known as a full licence (ie unrestricted after your Ps).

Many years ago they decided if you had a clean record you could progress to silver then gold licence

Truck licence magenta/purple.
