The only rattle I get is from the drivers seat belt buckle, when I'm not wearing it, so its not really an issue.

That's quite a list you have, frd906. I hope you got the car for next to nothing. How many kms is it?

2002 Fairmont Ghia. Bought at 75000k now 170,000k.
Only thing that has actually gone wrong was the exhaust which was replaced at around 130,000.
I've replaced a few bits as preventative measures and have a few mods but that's not what you asked

Had it from new, done 225,000 no major issues, no leaks no knocking no problems - paintowrk looks like crap which is why it is now garaged and about to be pulled apart for a facelift.
Thinking of fitting turbo and sports exhaust and looking for advice on which ones to fit.
I really love this car...............

Thank's mate, it is in very good nic, just finding the time to enjoy her is the problem, I don't use her as a daily, as I don't like to park it at my place of work for many reason's, I'm sure people would know.
So weekend's and holiday's is about the only time I get to drive her.

Mine is a Dec 99 XR8
Bought in Jan 2002 with 85,000
Have just past 256,000 and goes as good as when I first got it.
Recently meet the origional owner and told me all about the car when he had it(highway use).
Got the origional tongue for the towbar(hayman reece). Only took 8yrs to get back to the car!!
Starting a "Replacement and Perfomance" program since the "Baby" is nearly 10yrs old!!

October 2001 AUII SR Sedan. I bought it with 182,000 and now has 210,000, I bought it in April 2009 i think.

Exhaust leaks.
Split tank on radiator.
Diff bearings whining.
Very slight power steering rack weep.
Interior lights stay on all the time, Pulled fuse at the moment.

Apart from that its all been service items that have been replaced.

2002 AU3 Futura, just hit 220,000 kms over the weekend.....I've had it since 184,000.

The only thing of any mention that's gone wrong was replacing one battery at last service 4,000 kms ago, as 3 of the 6 cells were faulty......nothing else has 'died' as such, things have been replaced as normal service items (plugs, leads etc), and I did replace the rotors, which were pretty badly shagged.....but nothing has failed!

doesn't seem like it, I think I'm only a couple of streets away and I still haven't seen it! Btw my AU is an 08/98 build, so one of the VERY early ones.

LOL! I like that!

AU XR6 HP (Dec '98 build, reg Feb '99) has just ticked over 24,000km. Had it since new. I really need to drive it more - at least 5000km per year is the goal.
