yea, johnson rd the best way to avoid tolls. Although its no longer a 100kmh zone, back to 80 now. Only other way is to go the real back way thru springfield/greenbank

I think that whereis thing didnt give me that result because you travel a few hundred metres on the toll road even though you dont pay the toll.

would i go along johnson road to go to the gold coast as well?

ummm. yes if u wanted to avoid the tolls. You would then probably head thru browns plains/marsden/waterford/bethania/edens landing/beenleigh to get to the M1. Otherwise, pay the 1 toll after the beaudesert rd/logan motorway overpass and end up just before yatala (the quickest way by far, you'll use more fuel going the other ways)

of course you could follow ipswich rd further along and get on the M1 anywhere between mains rd and springwood but it'd depend on time of day, traffic, etc

I dont know whats wrong with you, but I bet its hard to spell.

You say you want to avoid tolls (trolls?????), then cry about going on a toll road without having to pay the toll. Which, when you think hard about it (get mummy to help you with this if you like) does actually avoid paying the toll.

Is there a reason you are visiting this planet? :

actually, heading south you do have to get on the toll road for 50 metres before getting off and getting onto Johnson Rd via Carole Park

I think, RSgerry, is that is what confused him. Johnson rd only runs parallel to the motorway until the centenary highway. Whereis would make it harder to see than it actually is.

I was explaining the way the search engine whereis probably works. It is probably not advanced enough to tailor the answer because it doesnt know specifically where the toll booths are.
