It might go like stink, but man it looks shocking. The front bar looks like a knock off a an aftermarket Lancer bodykit.

That red interior is hiddeous. Looks like Hellboy has been skinned and used to trim it.

When we had a good look to see if we wanted one, that was the only reason we had not to get one. It is a shocker, and makes the whole concept seem like a ricer. Maybe the designer wanted neons too. But when it was up against a C63 AMG and the audi rs4, it looks too much like a tarted up taxi.

Holden or not; that is one nice piece of machinery... I'm going against the grain here; the red interior is growing on me and so too the exterior styling

holden have always been behind the 8 ball for interior styling, to much red there. A nice defined red like the Force series ford produced looked fantastic.

As much as i envy anyone who has one. There just a aftermarket tarted up clubsport taxi with a extra litre and 70kws.

Imagine delivering pizzas in that. fulli syk braa!

Well done John, nice to see your hard work rewarded with this retirement toy.

19.4lt/ 100 average sounds pretty good to me during run in.

Don't think much about the red interior, and Being a white exterior I think a blue interior would look much better.
But the vehicle it's self look's quite nice and meancing, very tough looking and how can you go past the grunt and torque of the 7ltr, very nice indeed.

Gotta agree. I can handle the external visuals but the interior is all wrong.

This might sound a bit clique but even though its a car with massive potential and too see one it really gets the adrenaline pumping why would you buy one? why not buy an F6 or HSV and get a few upgrades. I mean come on a SUPERCHARGED CLUBSPORT EASILY HAS THE POTENTIAL OF RIPPING to 100 in the same time as a 427 and its only 75 odd grand.

They don't looks like Xenons simply because there's no washer on the front bar. I was under the impression that you had to have a washer that could spritz water onto the lens...?

That's true to a degree but then you could also argue about why buy a F6 or lower model HSV when you can get a standard Falcon or Commie and spend money on working it to beat/better the F6/HSV,
To some people it's a marque, and that's all that matter's.

Yep.. It always amuses me when people throw up the usual "why not just modify a (insert cheaper model here)" idea.. sure, you could mod an F6 to go as quick, or you could modify an XR6T to go as quick as an F6 or you could spend half the price of an XR6T and just buy a jap sports bike which will "spank them all"....
The point is they all exist at different price and performance points for good reasons... if the above scenario is a realistic alternative in your mind you'd never understand the concept of why all these factory models exist in the first place...

I saw a W427 last weekend on the Warrego Highway near Gatton coming from Toowoomba.

True, and atleast we can be thankfull that manufacturers Like HSV/FPV are giving us the consumer, a option and a wide variaty at that.

You know not everyone buys these sort of cars, just to see how fast they are?

For example if I had the choice between a XY GTHO Phase III, and a XY Fairmont that runs 10 all day I would choose the Phase III. Why? The Fairmont would destroy the Phase III, but the Phase III has that little thing called "rarity". I have no doubt you could get a Clubsport to go just as fast for less, but at the end of the day it's still a Clubsport.

Not that there's anything wrong with a Clubsport, but it's no where near as exlcusive or as rare as a car like the W427.

Around 90 this year I believe. If they can get enough orders to fill the allocation they will stop at 427, if they can't fill orders over the next 2 years they will cut it short of that, but it will be a max of 427.
