I went to opening on Thursday ngiht, we did pretty poorly with the lap time, but I think because the hosts weren't comfortable in the Arena yet. Steve was noticeably nervous on Thursday but overall it was awesome

i went to the 8pm show on friday, we set the second fastest time a 1.35.

Went to the 5pm show on friday and was freakin awesome!!! Just like the UK show only better!

I'd settle for any of them!!!!!

It was interesting to see that the Aston Martin display had no ropes or barriers around the cars and they had their Director of Operations for the southern hemisphere fielding everyones questions while looking after them!
He was a top bloke and good to talk too.

Yet when you went to the Ferrari *yawn* (i know they're fast, have heritage etc, but they bore me!) and Maserati stand, you couldn't get close to the cars and unless you had money falling out of your pockets, the staff didn't want to know you

Anyone else miss the 07/02/09 11:00am session like me .. thanks to the f'up by the rail system? I left Circular Quay @ 9:15am and by 11:20 was still standing at Strathfield station with my wife with no way of getting to Olympic Station and rail staff able to help. I'm from Bendigo (Vic) so I didn't really know what to do. By 11:30am we just decided to leave ..

.. I was really p1ssed ..

However flying back into Melb yesterday afternoon it all came back into perspective. My parents house in Bendigo (Eaglehawk) is under threat of fire. My sister-in-laws house in Beechworth in under threat of fire, and a friend of my who's family live in Bayton (outside of Kyneton) are on high alert. I spent the evening activating my fire plan (Lockwood).

Kind of makes missing a few poms driving some cars around seem pretty insignificant ..

Went to the 11:00a.m. session today. 2nd fastest audience (Reasonably priced car) of the tour and the best Sydney one by far!! Booyeh! Clarkson took a rather funny picture to represent us...

Yep, we were clearly the fastest of the Sydney shows to that point with a 1m32s.

Most of the Aussie times were well down the list. Only one Syney time was at about 1m35s about 5 places further back.

NB For those who have been to the earlier shows and claiming you were 2nd quickest or whatever, I'll paraphrase Jeremy and say "YOU'RE WRONG!"

I went on the Friday night. it was soo much better being able to see them in person. steve was actually quite tollerable and i didn't hear a single crikey or strewth whatsoever. and Jesus was There!!!! lol

Had to scroll back to see what you were talking about! Couldn't understand why people were concerned about a spoiler on a live car show compared to a spoiler on any other car?

Hi went to the 2pm show today it was great and the 3D affects how cool, made me duck........lol.

Our track time was a 1m31 top of the leaderboard. oh yeah baby.

We sat right in front and I pooped my pants when the apache fired those rockets. LOL

What a great show! I think the best part was seeing Steve "pizza-hut" getting hit in the balls and up the **** by the trials rider.

never seen the full version of the ferrari/shell add before, that was the only add i liked. the navman one was boring (where's my free navman

loved the show might have to go back next year me thinks.

Yeah, Steve drove in a Holden ute, and they did the Holden vs Ford crowd thing. Then they had some fully worked utes, a Ford and a Holden. Then HSV had a gig with an R8 I think it was. But sadly, no FPV in sight. Would have been good to see a duel between a HSV and an FPV.

i think it was two W427's, i was waiting for the f6 to come out but, as you say no fpv in sight

yes, that was dissappointing. Would have been really cool to have a HSV and FPV duel !! And for what it's worth, that Steve Pizzati CAN drive too !!
