From those I've read that have the game suggest that it's a complete stinker. I've not been a fan of NFS for quite awhile since its focus was mainly on ricers but I believe it's gone even further where the importance seems to be on sticker placement rather than performance enhancements.

: nfs went down hill after the underground 1&2. what happend to the great drifting were you had to try and control the car. and the drag racing were you could acctually finish a race without crashing into a car 15 times before you finally got to the end. to many to fast the popularity of the games went to there head i think. you know pump them out why the sales are there. meh ill stick wid the originals i think.

played about half an hour, mostly (exactly) like NFS most wanted which isn't a bad thing. There are cool things like modifying bodykits aka vents sizes positions etc if you are into the whole ricing up your car thing

The first one to introduce drifting was the best, as you actually had to control the car.
in the last NFS (underground was it?) the car basically steers itself, its so gay thats not drifting!

Best drifting in a game was Juiced 2, you had to feather the throttle and it had a lot of emphasis on car placement and speed control.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42885.html

From what i gathered from watching this review

1) you can trasfer real cash to the game to buy parts, paint, vinyl, come on WTF
2) all races take place during sunrise or sunset
3) all roads are shiny
4) no diffuculty level
5) to easy
6) need to wear sunglasses while playing, haha
7) pathetic soap opera like drama story

EDIT: LOL @ Sun Glitch

Are you serious? I thought it had the worst drift engine ever.

GRID Race Driver has pretty good drifting. Wheelspin in every gear in an old celica is a bit much though haha.

Im not sure if ill bother with this NFS. i lost interest in the whole series after underground 2. Number 1 was ok atleast it kept me interested long enough to finish it. I have to agree Grid Race Driver drifting is fun but the wheel spin is way over rated on all of the cars.

I lost interest after NFS:HP2, the last REAL NFS game where you could play as cops and it was about racing, not putting stickers and huge-butt body kits and vynil all over the car.

There are difficulty levels, I played on hard and it is pretty easy I have to admit

The races are rather bright, I thought it was my screen!

Was it NFS2 or 3 which had the ELGT? I loved that one.

Most wanted would be the fav for me.

NFS3: Hot Pursuit did. NFS4 had the AU XR8 and Hot Pursuit 2 had the TS50. I reinstalled NFS3 and played it again a few days ago. It certainly took me back! I can't believe my parent's old computer struggled to run that game! It was a fun game though.

I might get Undercover despite the reviews. I would prefer it if EA Games would take longer to develop a quality product rather than just churn out dodgy ones like Prostreet though.

^^ I remember seeing videos of the game (pro street) pre-launch and all they rattled on about was how good the smoke was cus people like to just stop and burn rubber. No wonder it was such a let down.

I looked up one of the Game review youtube vids and it doesn't actually look that good. At the end of it, it says Don't blow your extra cash on this.

Might be same vid as Grechie, sorry

That's High Stakes. It had the AU1 XR8, VTII SV99, and HRT Commodore as a bonus car.

Hot Pursuit had the EL GT, VT1 GTS and in a couple of levels you'd be chased by an EL cop car.

Funny you say that coz the developers had mentioned that they weren't trying to churn the games out so quick so that they could get it right(er) each time round. This release was meant to have had an extended development cycle.

if you look on the NFS wiki they've made a new NFS game every year since 1997, thats coming up 12 years with NFS XIII coming out in 09..

Sounds like EA Games "Medal of Honor" series, World War II went for 6 years, Medal of Honor has been going for 8 counting the last (crap) MoH game :.

By the way i still have NFS:HP on PC, the Cd is still in my cupboard i think. I had NFS: Special edition but i threw it out.

Well i bought it i played it for a couple of hours and think its crap.

Its like Carbon pretty much, crap game play, crummy menu system designed for console market, graphics that look like you are in a permanent fog (and dont tax my new hot shot PC), and well it just aint worth $80. Ive been robbed by EA one to many times, ive paid full retail for ever NFS except for NFS2, and this one shall be getting returned- thank god for EB games and the 7 day return.

Ill just stick with my NFS Mostwanted for when i feel like outrunning the cops and Racedriver Grid (which is quite good) for a bit of arcade racing.

NFS 3 Hot Pursuit was probably the best NFS, but the last few NFS's have been made just to cash in on the 10yo boy console market for Christmas, no aussie content just crap.

Think I might just stick with my Midnight Club LA and Burnout Paradise games for the moment and not blow my cash like they say.

Cheers to everyone for the reviews and comments, I was going to get this one in the next couple of days.

Race Driver GRID was a great game that was the last one I finished
