Impressive. Big step above a Econospec Falcodore that usually drives you home. The Tassie boys have it backwards we're gettin prius's and jazz down here....

The last time I caught a taxi in Tas (a very long time ago) the drivers wore a suit with a white shirt and tie !!

That didn't help their driving though.

There's a guy in Perth running an FG G6E Turbo on petrol.
Sorry Phildo, for a Tech guy, I don’t think that you have a clue on how my business runs(Hobby, yer right),yes you are on the right path in saying that I have multiple taxis,13 in fact In my Town (Casino) and another 2 more in another Town, Total of 15 Cabs(Plus 3 Hire Cars) including the one you referenced to(This Cab runs in my business like a silver service Taxi, with my wife and myself as the ONLY drivers other than our mechanic)we run this vehicle as a pre booked cab and mainly works with corporate, medical Transfers, so to say this cab is Not particularly profitable, Well if you haven’t worked it out Phildo, this cab not only pays for itself, it makes a profit.

You are right in saying that it would be a lot of fun, it is, when you do the Hours and ks that I do, I like to be comfee and have some go when I need it (That’s the pros for owning a business), sometimes when i go up or come back from runs to places like, Brisbane/Gold Coast Airports or Medical Transfers, somtimes i run empty, That’s when I find its a good time to have a play in this cab.

Why do I run this cab on petrol and not LPG?

The suppliers of LPG in our area supply a bad mix of LPG which causes our other Cabs to have converter clean outs more often than not, we are waiting for a new supplier to supply 100% Propane to us which will be soon, than we will look at maybe converting this cab to LPG,with all the Mods,we seem to be returning good consumption figures on our long distance work, which is mainly what this cab does.

Anybody looking for LPG Conversions, Talk to Adam and the boys from 1st Class Taxis on the Gold Coast for LPG fitouts,They do a TOP JOB,They will be doing our G6ET if I decide to go that way.

Phildo,if you want This guy (you can call me Cabbie if you like)to help you either in the Taxi Industry or a Taxi Driving Job,Dont hesitate in getting in contact with me. I would love to help you out or set you straight.

Hi deesun, thanks for the welcome and the comment on our Cab,id say we will be going down the road of the liquid injection option,we are still finding info on this though, but i will be leaving this with our head mechanic (Rod)but im sure we will go this way, once we sort out our LPG issue (Bad Gas).

And of course to prove it really is a country cab you will have 4 very inebriated station hands on their way home from the B&S Ball..... right ?

Cool Re: 495rwhp Taxi!!!!

I saw this today
It was going along Beaudesert Rd at Coopers plains and it did a U turn
I looked at the twin pipes on the right side the mag wheels
and no LPG stickers
and I thought to my self
thats my next car
The Mrs has a BA Ghia
and I have an AU Monty on LPG
so thats My next one
I will settle for the standard 300HP

thanks John

If you fitted LPi, (JTG the only option for you) there is no convertor to worry about. Just fill her up and plant it.
