i dunno if the au is the same as the ba but i removed the washer bottle and got even more air into that corner! fit another 3" duct pipe.
investigate in that.

and useless do some research on peltier elements and try and get one of those in your box. they a little square plate run off 12v and have a hot and cold side. put a heatsink and fan on the hot side hanging in the engine bay and a heatsink on the cold side inside the airbox. the cold side is 60 degrees C colder than the hot side. keep the hot side at say 50-60 degrees and you got a massive heatsink in your airbox at -10 to 0 degrees
thatll bring temps down

Ruger ..trust me that I will time this setup when its finished and if it makes the car quicker it will stay.Peltiers draw alot of power. But I have some ideas I want to try first which no one here has tried yet.

Is that measured on the same day, or an old reading against today's reading?

I have to say, I did a similar mod about 3 years ago on my AU2 V8 Forte - I still have the sheet metal lid and sides, and I had a pod in it. Apart from induction noise, I didn't notice much difference, but when I opened the bonnet, it just looked crap - though I have to say, it looked better than what you have done (sorry, but it's true).

Now, to help you in the cosmetics department, go to Clarke rubber and buy some crimpable rubber/vinyl edging in black. It's similar to the stuff that goes on the inside of the old XD/E door trim. It's basically U shaped, about 10mm wide by 5mm and has a sort of wire/metal inside it which you can crimp to fit any edge. It will tidy up those very dodgy looking edges.

This is the sort of stuff I'm talking about:

it would be so much easier just to use a pod, i could make a mad setup, its a bit harder with a panel filter...., still can do it, just will take alot more thinking and stuffing around, main reason i dont use the pod is cos my car drinks like a drag car wen its on.

If you can smell it then you have a fuel leak my friend.Id get someone to check the injectors, filter connections etc.

I would personally remove each sparkl plug and see which one looks wet or really black. This would isolate the problem cylinder.
