I believe even holden is starting to push the power limits though - someone with a bit of sway behind them will rally against power outputs of 300+kw and before you know it, there will be a huge following of the general public calling for the reduction of high output figures. And further down the track both camps will be saying 'this car is rated at 270kw' but actually prob does closer to 290 etc. A bit like the phoon i guess - what its rated at and the power it makes will be alot different.
They jumped on it cause it made 550nm, the highest an Australian car made at the time. Scruby also said that it can get to 100kmh in 2nd gear? : (Even an XT can do that). The GTS has the same amount of torque now and 37 more kw, and no one says anything. Why? They have also come out in the media and bragged about how fast they can go. If Ford did that they would be bashed from pillar to post. I just don't understand how one can talk up speed while the other tries to be responsible, but the do gooders jump on the ones who are trying to be do the right thing.

I think thats why they get jumped on. If they had the " We make no apoligies" attitude they probably wouldnt be so open, even though I think they are doing the marketing side right. The cars do need more go now to compete with main opposition.

There's now a countdown on the FPV site. It looks like the BFII FPVs will be unveiled on the 26th of October. Can't wait to see the official pics of the Force 6 and Force 8

I've got a laptop, and I noticed when i tilted my screen at a funny angle you could see vague detail in that faded out BF2 FPV image!

A simple photoshop level change:

As is

Altered Levels

Is it safe to assume Typhoon now has optional stripes? lol :togo:

I reckon the Typhoon might get the optional stripes. Remember that the Typhoon had the more subtle looks to the GT (no bulge, smaller spoiler, etc.) so that was one of the reasons why it didn't get the stripes. Now the Force 6 and 8 will be even more subtle, so they probably won't get the stripe option but the Typhoon will. That's my guess.

I hope the Force 6 & 8 get unique front styling to the Typhoon or GT. Something a bit more subtle.

The wheels do look different, but i am thinking its just the pic, i believe they are just the wheels off the first Typhoon.

Also look at the wheels on the F6 in this pic, probably the same.

Sometimes mining uncovers gold.

Other times it does not. This is the other time.
