I was looking at the rear head rests. Prolly is an ex cab but had some things changed in its retirement.

Maybe it was never a taxi and he just ordered a yellow Falcon in the mid 90’s!

There doesn’t appear to be any paint fade where the taxi stripes and number decals would have been, suggesting they were never fitted.

I reckon you can see the 'hump' of the high series bonnet, the Falcon bonnet was flat.

Another for Footscray, a 84 Holden Gemini SL/X resprayed in dark/midnight blue.

And as fat pimply redheads go, It's usually a good idea to look under the bonnet.

HX (I think; had egg crate grille) ute in royal blue, medium blue-grey interior. Accessorised with rear venetian, repro NRMA decal and chrome lashing rails. Black plastic with silver outline 5.0 badge on the upper right of tailgate - thought these models still used chrome?

No photo, as I was driving on Victoria Rd at the time.

XA sedan, blue, but it's an absolute wreck dumped by the side of the Melbourne to Geelong rail line on the Geelong side of Wyndham Vale station; it must have been there for a few decades by now.

Elsewhere: a 180B four door which I think was on full Vic reg.

Today: an XK120 Jag. at a car club gathering.

Today: first generation Magna, red, I think it was on full reg ie a daily driver.

[Last week in western Vic, a semi full of crushed cars went past; they were just stacked up, fully visible, possibly all 1990's cars.]

Spotted a gen-1 Lexus IS300 today in immaculate condition, driven by an elderly gentleman. Even had the period correct number plates. I always liked these, mainly because of the inline 6.

Early 323 on Friday, the first model they shared with Ford. Good original condition, looked like a five or six year old car only.

Today, in Hunter Lane Hornsby, TWO white BA RTVs. One with Sunraysias and a canapé, the other with AU style five spoke alloys and an open tub.

Pennant Hills Road northbound today, earlier flat-screen Beetle with patinated mint green paint, older driver. Looked not a fake “survivor”.
