In your title you made it sound like there was some kind of drama with a learner driver.

That is exactly what it is Masking tape. The same product I used multiple layers of around areas that may have been scratched when fitting the panels and trims after everything was painted. You can use your magnetic plates that obviously will have any metal particles stick to it which you are then transferring on to your paintwork and scratching that nice shiny paintwork as you mentioned. On top of that the surface where attached is curved good luck getting magnetic plates to stay on that!!!! Really starting to regret posting this on here. |

Good on you.
My daughter drove my old Fairlane on her Ls too. Was a bit of fun. We'll have to get the girls to line them up at Willowbank one day.

Tell her she can't drive it any more, because it's not "learner approved", and you don't want her to get in trouble with the law.
Damn nice car, though!

I was a bit miffed as I was expecting some kind of action or blame being directed towards a learner driver, nothing more.

It's not the bloody learner drivers.
I know it's the end bay but you’d still think her full licenced instructor would teach her to park within the lines. |

The personalized plates were on my "Eliminator" originally and most American cars start there year build date 4 months or so before that year actually begins and I have never verified the build date of the Mustang also there is a lot on the car that has been replaced or upgraded so it just seemed appropriate.

You were not the only person who was miffed I had a duplicate post in a more appropriate section deleted because a mod felt the same way. |

I was having trouble getting my 16 yo in the wife's astra to get her hours up. A brand new xr8 has suddenly reinvigorated my daughters desire to drive. One drive and she's hooked. Just like her dad!
